In Mid Valley District, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Mid Valley Megamall is a shopping mall. It sits at the entrance to Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya. The complex, built by IGB Corporation, was opened in 1999. It includes a shopping mall, a tower block for offices, 30 offices, and three hotels. Adjacent to the Megamall is a second outlet, The Gardens Mall. The mall has a total floor area of 4,500,000 sq ft (420,000 m2), out of which 1,700,000 sq ft (160,000 m2) is leasable space. Often, this entire area is referred to as Mid Valley District. Partly due to the amount of shops and variety available, the mall attracts huge crowds throughout the year. There are also several options for dining available. It houses a conference centre of 48,300 sq ft (4,490 m2) and it is adjacent to a business hotel called Cititel Midvalley with 646 rooms. In the same location, there are two more hotels: the Boulevard Hotel, the Gardens Hotel and the Residences. A proposal to connect Mid Valley Megamal...
