JPO

 SHOP MORE FOR LESS

Written By Muhammad Syahir

JPO, as it's better known as by the locals is well worth it, it's well presented in a modern open air mall across two levels.
Their website has more details http://www.premiumoutlets.com.my/
I found loads of top brands with available sizes at prices that fit my budget, oh and there were various perfumes available as well.
The only negative was that there were loads of flies, this is due to it's location near local farms.

I spent up at Brooks Brothers and Ralph Lauren and Lacoste, there was so much on offer.
If I had found a money changer I would have spent more, thankfully there are ATM's that work with maestro cards and credit cards are accepted throughout.

Also if taking public transport or a coach bus isn't your thing maybe splurge and take a cab, we took one going back and it was 45 singapore dollars flat rate. You need to get a yellow taxi, only these are allowed to come back and forth across the border.

One piece of advice i'd like to share is to avoid weekends, it gets really busy on the causeway and you can be stuck in traffic for a while.
Thankfully the bus has a priority lane and while getting on and off might seem like a hassle it really is very easy.

Given the time actually spent on travelling out there I think next time I'll go by coach and obviously not on a weekend.

JPO is well worth a visit as I think you'll save a fair bit, also don't forget your passport.
