Hiking and Exploring Mount Arong & Mawar Island!

It is located at Mersing, Johor. Just type "Mount Arong Mersing", Google Maps will lead you here :


From Johor Bharu to Mount Arong takes 2 hours and more but rest assure, it's worthy. This is the scenery after 275m hike from the bottom. It is so breath-taking, and relaxing. We will see Mawar Island from the top, and if you're lucky, we will see a lot of ship sail during the day.


All the way to reach the top, we can enjoy the green. The track is not that challenging as we can brought our little brother together.

Do check the tidal chart here before you visit Pulau Mawar! Make sure to plan your journey well so that you have ample time to explore Pulau Mawar (& not get stuck there because the tides are high!) Also, this Mawar Island track is not that challenging, you can bring your children together.




Some people called this 'Heaven Gate' and this gate has caught many eyes.
